Four Stage Charging Procedure

Stage 1: Desulfating

The charger enters this stage if it detects battery sulfation or severe discharge,
desulfating through an 18V pulse. Once the desulfation stage is complete the
charger moves to Bulk Charge stage.

Stage 2: Bulk Charge

This stage uses high current for the type of battery in use until it reaches 80% charge.
Note: If the battery stays at stage 2 after 24 hours of charging then battery may be
deffective.

Stage 3: Absorption

The output voltage is limited to 14.7V and the current decreases to charge the
battery to its full capacity.

Stage 4: Float

At this stage, the battery is fully charged and the charger maintains the battery
through pulse charging

The Neuton Power charger will enter protection mode when the battery polarity is
reversed or if the output connectors are shorted.

1-4 green LED lights will glow solidly to reflect the state of charge. 25%, 50%,
75% or 100%. If all four lights glow solidly the battery is fully charged.
You can disconnect the battery or you can keep it connected to the charger
in float mode.
